Bores

Do I need a Bore?

As the demand for and price of public water supplies continues to increase, a private water supply such as a bore can add value and sustainability to your property. In recognition of this FPM Landscapes provides advice and expertise for the establishment of new bores and the assessment, diagnosis and upgrading of existing bores. For new installations, a comprehensive site evaluation is undertaken to determine factors such as water depth, suitability and reserves before we apply our specialty drilling equipment to the task at hand. Existing installations also benefit from our range of services such as pump replacement, priming of older style pumps and servicing of bore pipes/air development

As a basic and general rule, the bigger the garden and the longer you plan on staying in your property, the more cost effective a bore becomes. Chat to our technicians to see what works for you.

How long does it take to install a Bore?

Generally, a bore can be drilled and installed in 1-2 days. The Retic system can also be installed in the same time frame.

Which retic controllers to buy?

Controller prices vary from under $100 all the way up to $1000! The number of stations is the largest factor in pricing. Brand and features also play a big part. We can help you chose a controller that suits your needs.

Retic controllers have come a long way in terms of tech and features. The latest and greatest controllers feature WiFi, live weather info and smart watering. You can control them from anywhere in the world and even get info about watering schedules, run the system manually or turn it off.

What days can you water?

Watering days in Perth are 2 days a week for mains water and 2 times a week if you have a bore. The Water Corp website list your watering days based on your house/lot number.
